Rain and the need to replace the floor of our indoor range slowed the forward momentum of our construction a little bit. The tearout of the floor was a major task, but it would have been worse had there been any steel in the old floor. But then we most likely wouldn’t need to replace the old floor had steel been used in the original construction of the indoor range
The old floor was broken up in a relatively short time, but removing and disposing of the seemingly endless sea of the broken concrete was beginning to look like a never ending job
With visqueen in place and rebar set in 36 inch squares the concrete for the new floor was pumped in for one continuous pour. The half dozen workers on the concrete crew had to really hump it to keep up with the pour. It was very apparent that they had done this a time or two. They worked together like a well oiled machine keeping up with two Ready Mix trucks dumping in backend of the pumper truck.
The PEX for radiant floor heating has been delivered and soon will be installed in the 10′ X 60′ booth area at the east end of the building

Earlier this month a “Special Edition Newsletter” was sent out announcing our plans to
restart Bulls-eye shooting competition. The Special Addition was necessary because one of the
available dates for the competition was prior the scheduled release of the June Newsletter.A lot of hard work and elbow grease went into rebuilding the equipment and preparation for these
Dave. Kelzenberg stepped way out on a limb scheduling these matches not knowing
for sure if the new target system would be installed and operational in time for the competition.
WELL DONE DAVE! Your hard work, diligence and planning has payed off
The next match is scheduled for Sunday, August30, beginning at 9:00 am. We should have a permanent power source and have all the bugs worked out by then
If you want to seriously study the sport, the detailed rule book can be downloaded for free at the NRA website. The attached match schedule outlines the complete course of fire for the whole match, and INCLUDES IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. Please read it thoroughly and carefully!
A word from our treasurerWe have a handful of members who have become delinquent or who have not made themselves current under the new dues structure. Because of the extent of construction we will be undergoing in the future it is imperative that we make every attempt to bring everyone on-board with this and future projects.
Also, because of the fire we do not have membership records and/or waivers for many members on file.
The combination to the front gate and the target was changed the first of May.
All current members should have received the new combinations.
We have renewed our membership in National Shooting Sports
Please be prepared to show your membership card at the request of WLGC range officers or staff any time you are on club property.

With the building construction well underway, we are in need of additional funds to cover unexpected costs. In addition, we will need to raise additional funds to complete the entire project in the future. With fund raising efforts just getting started, there are ways that everyone can pitch in:
Have too many guns? Donate a gun that can be raffled off to raise money for the club.
Need more guns? Buy raffle tickets to win a gun!
Send your fund raising ideas to me so they can be considered by the fundraising committee.
